The Cranial Academy Foundation is dedicated to the support of Osteopathic professional education and research, with a primary focus on the sub-specialty practice of Cranial Osteopathy. We also educate the public on the benefits of Cranial Osteopathy.

Our Primary Focus Includes Financial Support for:

  • Professional education programs.
  • Scholarships for medical students, resident physicians, and physicians who are in private practice.
  • Research in Cranial Osteopathy related to the areas of Pain, Traumatic Brain Injury, Concussion, Post-Traumatic Stress, Integrative Medicine, and Optimal Health Promotion.
  • Dissemination of research results in clinical outcomes and basic sciences that support the clinical and physiologic impact of Cranial Osteopathy.

The cranial concept, which evolved from the founder of osteopathy A.T. Still, MD, DO, and one of his students, William Garner Sutherland, DO, offers a unique advance in the art and science of healing by directing the body’s inherent ability to normalize function and promote healing.  Cranial Osteopathy is the application of the principles of osteopathy to the entire body, including the bones, membranes and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord.
